Dropbox
Dropbox is great tool to use both in your professional and personal life. It is a cloud-based file sharing tool that allows you to "drop" folders into the "cloud" and access them anywhere you can access Dropbox. For example, if I "drop" a file into Dropbox on Dropbox.com, after it loads (usually less than a minute based on file size) I can access it from: My computer, iPad, Evo 3D cell phone, Nexus 7 Android Tablet, AND online.
What an interesting concept to use in class!

How Kerry Uses Dropbox
Professional
In my classroom, we use computers. Everything we do is on computers. I need to grade student work and I need it to be easily accessible (obviously I can't access P: drives from home, nor do I want to go to 120 different student P: drives to grade!)
At the beginning of each semester, I have the students fill out a Google Form stating their name, hour, and email they are using for Dropbox (I make them sign up beforehand). Then, I take a couple of hours out of my day, create a folder for each student and "share" the folder with them. Then, we both can "drop" things into the folder back and forth - aka, their work, and my completed rubrics/feedback, etc. The best part about it is that I can track dates & times that students dropped files, see what files were deleted (in case they say they accidentally deleted them - sort of like their dog ate their homework) and it's the ONLY way I accept work. Students know and understand that the only way I will grade their work is if they place it in Dropbox.

Personal
I use it to save work that I do at home for work (what teacher doesn't do work at home?). I also have a couple of folders that I share with other people - my Mom and husband. It's easy to place files into those folders and share them back and forth (especially pictures files).
